Kindergarten Program

Age 5 years old by September 1st.

Philosophy/Mission Statement:
Weaver Day School will provide a small, private classroom experience for kindergarten students in order to promote acquisition of early mathematical, language, reading, science, and social science concepts. Exploring the expressive arts through music, art, and dramatic play will reinforce such concepts and enhance development of a well-rounded child prepared to succeed in the full-day, first grade experience.

Program Details:
Weaver Day School offers an intensive, private kindergarten experience. Taking advantage of a small class size, we are able to make great strides across the academic and social curricula. It is a unique program highly recognized and recommended even by our local school district. It has been in existence since 2000 and has produced dozens of highly skilled first graders, attending a variety of public and private first grades.

The kindergarten program is reading, writing, literature and math intensive.  It also provides greater world knowledge through in depth science and social studies themes.  We have an abundance of new, innovative, hands on materials to foster skills and concepts being taught.  There are regular homework assignments, weekly newsletters, and quarterly report cards to keep parents involved and informed regarding their child's education.  Numerous field trips, visitors and classroom events allow us to gather and further explore classroom topics and have fun as a family!
